Barack Obama’s Flipping Positions ON Gun Controll

Well, in response to a question about whether or not a questionnaire he signed in the 1990’s where he stated support for “strong laws” to ban the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns. Obama said it was done by a staffer and that he never saw the questionnaire. See the tape:

Unfortunately, they found his handwriting on the questionaire.

So now, the Supreme Court has weighed in and firmly established the tenet that there is an “individual” right to keep and bear arms, Obama is migrating his position to the center, ever so uncomfortably (especially given his previous statements supporting the banning of the sale manufacture and possession of handguns and Obama voting to support “strong” gun control policies as a member of the Board of the Joyce Foundation) see the tape:

I am guessing at this rate, it will become an official position of Obama (say around November 2nd) that every American should have a firearm purchased for them by the Government as their third Government stimulus rebate.

Barack Obama’s World

Very important that you read this about Obama’s World(by Discover the Networks) and send it to as many of your family, acquaintances and friends as you can. Particularly anyone who may be enamored of Obama or sitting on the fence.

It is like anyone else, you can judge a person by the character of the people they associate with. While I am no fan of John McCain, at least he is not the second coming of Jimmuh Carter, nor is he a big fan of Communists (Ayers, Dohrn, Frank Davis Marshall, Saul Alinsky,>Carl Davidson, or George Soros).

Also, it gives a clearer picture of who he is by looking at the list of his most public and notorious supporters:

George Clooney; Rob Reiner; Ariana Huffington; Jesse Jackson; Michael Eric Dyson; Manning Marable; Cornel West; Barbara Weinstein; Laurence Tribe; Jane Fonda; Tom Hayden; Michael Ratner; Danny Glover; Martin Sheen; Susan Sarandon; Spike Lee; Michael Moore; Bill Maher; Bruce Springsteen; Ted Kennedy; John Kerry; John Conyers; Luis Gutierrez; Barbara Lee; Major Owens; Jan Schakowsky; Bobby Rush; Pearl Jam; and ACORN.

Please read this in full. Pay close attention to the links to Acorn,George Soros, The Woods Foundation, Frank Davis Marshall and the Joyce Foundation. This is a very in depth record of Obama that you will never see in the the mainstream press. However, you must understand who Obama really is and also make every effort to educate any and all of your acquaintences, friends and family as to the real Barack Hussein Obama. read this, inform yourself and pass it along to everyone that you know.

Obama Conflicted On When Human Life Begins

When asked if he personally believed that life begins at conception, Obama said this:

This is something that I have not come to a firm resolution on. I think it’s very hard to know what that means, when life begins. Is it when a cell separates? Is it when the soul stirs? So I don’t presume to know the answer to that question. What I know is that there is something extraordinarily powerful about potential life and that that has a moral weight to it that we take into consideration when we’re having these debates.

It seems though that his ambivalence on this matter was unshaken by his having to take a position on the Induced Infant Liability Act, a bill brought before the Illinois Senate in 2002. The act would have protected the life of infants that had survived a late-term abortion and required the infants have the right to every effort to save them when they had survived the abortion.

The issue came to light on the efforts of nurses that had witnessed the abandonment of these tragic lives to neglect on the unlikely event of their survival because the parents already did not want them and the Doctors and Hospitals did not wish the financial burden of caring for them after their failure to end the life of the infant through abortion. In fact, as Chairman of Health & Human Services, Obama actively sought to delay the measure from reaching the floor.

So it seems that while he declares himself to have not decided when exactly life begins, his actions tell another story. He actively worked to stop a bill that granted protections to the the life of “unwanted” children so it would seem as if, at least for Obama, the only viable life is one that the mother decides not to “choose” to kill. This is the most heinous of all the positions one can have regarding when life begins. It is also unsupportable by any law and by the greater conscience of the American people.

If he is so cavalier about protecting the rights of the most innocent, most vulnerable ( a postion morally simple and uncomplicated on its face) he cannot be trusted to protect the well-being of the nation as it regards our interests in conflicts and Foreign Policy. He has no real moral compass, he will let evil pass for the sake of expediency as he did in this case. He has established this by listening to the rantings of a racist, hyper-political pastor for over 20 years and by his associations with an unrepentant domestic terrorist (William Ayers) and a now convicted Federal Prisoner (Tony Rezko). No, all of these associations have clearly pegged Obama as being ever the political pragmatist ever accommodating whatever moral turpitude for the furtherance of his career. Even more disturbing is the appearance of an unbending fealty to the far left agenda.

So Barack, If Drilling Here, Now Won’t Lower Prices Now, What Is Your Plan To Lower Prices Now?

OK, so lets lets recap. John McCain says “Lets drill off the coasts…I will re-examine the issue of drilling in ANWR….we need to increase supply…we need 45 nuclear power plants by 2030…300 million dollar prize for batteries…need to develop wind and solar”. All seems like pretty concrete solutions towards increasing supply and working towards fixing the problem.

Now, Obama, (and every shill “strategist” in the world with a “D” next to their name) says:

“we can’t drill our way out of this” to which the TV commentator says to them “what can we do to lower gas prices” to which Obama (and the Democratic “strategist”) says “we can hope for the changes we need to make because we cannot drill our way out of this…if there was any way drilling would lower gas prices now, we would still hope to make the change that we need to make to end our dependence on fossil fuels”.

My head is bleeding. I cannot take it any more. I am beginning to “hope” that we have the courage to “change” our willingness to allow these people to get up there and talk in complete circles. Look, Obama, I know you think I am stupid and I admit I am not always the sharpest tool in the drawer, but even I know that “hope” and “change I can believe in” will do nothing to lower gas prices…not today, not 5 years from now…not ten years from now, I am not 18 anymore.

In fact if all we do is “hope” and believe in change that we can believe will change our belief in our ability to “hope” for change we can believe in …..gas will be $ 10.00 a gallon by the end of Jimmuh Obama’s first term. Jimmuh Carter and Jimmuh Obama, change I believe will change my head into an exploding ball of fire.

So keep it up Obama. Once everyones head stops spinning trying to follow what you say long enough to listen to the circlejerk they were just drawn into, you will lose big time…just like Jimmuh, in 1980. Get with him, take some more notes.

So Barack, What About Those Federal Prosecutors

In response to this question:

Question 12 — Should the president’s top aides have to testify before Congress in the investigation into the fired US Attorneys?

Obama answered:

I think that nobody is above the law…If there are specific assertions of executive privilege, then you know those can be examined. But I think this notion, this blanket notion that you can’t subpoena White House aides where there’s evidence of genuine wrongdoing, I think is completely misguided. You know, as I recall, Richard Nixon mounted similar arguments. That’s not how we operate. We’re a nation of laws, and not men and women so … that’s a precedent I don’t mind living with as president of the United States. I think this is not a situation where, I think, the Democrats are trying to go on a fishing expedition. We’ve got direct evidence that was provided by Republican appointed attorney generals, or US attorneys, that, that they had been pushed in the direction of political prosecutions. That violates every tradition we have of an independent US attorneys office that’s gonna prosecute the law without regard to partisan interests.

So Obama, is it safe to assume, based on your response that you think it is wrong to fire selectively or otherwise, Federal Prosecutors and if you are elected, you will allow the standing Federal Prosecutors to remain in their positions?

University of Chicago Professors Upset With Free Market Economics - Who Knew?

The University of Chicago, to honor the passing of Nobel Prize winner Milton Friedman announced the establishment of the Milton Friedman Institute. One Hundred of the faculty recently signed a letter protesting the Universitie’s commitment to the project. Their complaint:

Many colleagues are distressed by the notoriety of the Chicago School of Economics, especially throughout much of the global south, where they have often to defend the University’s reputation in the face of its negative image. The effects of the neoliberal global order that has been put in place in recent decades, strongly buttressed by the Chicago School of Economics, have by no means been unequivocally positive. Many would argue that they have been negative for much of the world’s population, leading to the weakening of a number of struggling local economies in the service of globalized capital, and many would question the substitution of monetization for democratization under the banner of “market democracy.”

They are upset that the institute - like its namesake - will promote the benefits of free market economics, which they specifically blame for the woes of “local economies in the service of globalized capital”. In other words, in their weekly coffee klatch around the table in William Ayers office (valued Barack Hussein Obama confidant - and self avowed U.S. raised domestic terrorist), they all discovered that it was counter to the principles of free and open debate to have the views of Milton Friedman ensconced in an Institute to give them further life. In other words they had hoped that his thoughts had died with him and were long buried.

Indeed, they not only want his words lain on the scrap heap, they had another suggestion for the resources the university had committed:

In the interests of equity and balance, many of us feel that the University ought to reconsider contributing to the proposed Milton Friedman Institute, which will inevitably be a powerful magnet for scholars and donors who share a specific set of interests and values to the exclusion of others, whether this is openly acknowledged or not. Still others believe that, given the influx of private contributions to the MFI, the University now has the opportunity to provide roughly equivalent resources for critical scholarly work that seeks out alternatives to recent economic, social, and political developments.

Translation - perpetuating bad theory is counter to us controlling the academic discussion, but we would welcome an institute that promotes say - Communism - as a legitimate alternative to the thoughts of that dead, stinking, conservative fool who believed in capitalism. This is really rich, they use the old “promote diversity” argument to squash “diversity”.

This is the link from which I drew the quotes from the letter. You need to go read it. The blog belongs to one of the professors that signed the letter. You will fall over laughing (and crying at the same time) at the sickness that has rotted itself into the real of academia.

Democrats Following The “No Drilling” Mantra Down a Dry Hole.

Cross Posted at Redstate.Com.

Democrats are so convinced that we are complete “rubes” that we will swallow completely the notion that drilling for oil in the United States will not improve our supplies of energy and reduce prices that they cling to the “we cannot drill our way out of this” mantra. This despite the clear evidence that us “rubes” do not buy it.

But the point is the Democrats are actually quite pleased that you and I are paying $4.00 pus per gallon. They believe that this will stop us evil, internal combustion loving capitalist pigs from “destroying” the planet.

What this is actually about is the Democrats attempt to drive the economy to collapse. Everyday they relive the glory days of the “New Deal”. Their Utopian vision of a Socialist world here in the land of the free never came closer to fruition than it did with the implementation of Roosevelt’s folly. The cause was advanced mightily by the depression and they seek to drive us to the point where we will roll over and beg them to assume total control over our lives. Just look at the statements by Maurice Henchy (D. NY) and Maxine Waters (C-Communist, CA) calling for the seizure of the Oil Companies assets.

This has roots far deeper that that. For years, the liberals have been trying to move us away from our sovereignty to a submission to the rule of the United Nations. They actually believe the world would be a better place with Kofi Annan’s crony’s running the world. But first they have to establish the “failure” of capitalism to provide for the welfare of the people and second, they need to establish a revenue stream for the U.N.

We will not accept the notion of paying taxes to the U.N directly ourselves so Obama has proposed that the government pay them for us instead. The Cap & Trade System was also about that. They would collect the revenues from auctioning the carbon credits, and whatever Al Gore could not pry loose from the “special commission” formed to “oversee distribution” to the “worthy” causes and projects, I am sure eventually a great chunk would find its way into U.N. pockets -er, I mean Kofi, er, (my bad), I mean coffers (oops, Freudian slips).

But, in a dramatic reversal of their fall into disgrace (and comadom), the Republicans figured they might as well try to latch on to the “Drill Here, Drill Now” movement and to their utter shock; and pleasant surprise, they discovered how well common sense; and balls (translation - courage) could actually resonate with us “rubes”.

So there is Hope. We are not all brain dead robots wallowing in the mantra OmBama. Remember the first Jimmy Carter had a huge bump on winning the nomination in 1976 and ran up a 33 point lead in the polls that summer. Also remember that he won by a mere two percent. So there is still hope that we can beat Jimmy Carter the second. This Jimmy Carter has not had nearly as big a run up in the polls since dispatching Hillary Clinton. If the Republican manage to not slip back into disgrace and obscurity, we have a shot. Then we can immediately begin searching for our candidate for 2012.
